Online Configuration With SCF
Online Configuration With SCF
The Subsystem Control Facility (SCF) is the online configuration facility for G-series
RVUs. After DSM/SCM runs SYSGENR to create the basic configuration, you use
SCF to configure the rest of the operating system objects. SCF is documented in the
SCF Reference Manual for G-Series RVUs.
The following manuals describe how to configure specific objects.
Offline Configuration with DSM/SCM
The following change the software configuration on your server:
Installing a new software RVU.
Installing an interim product modification (IPM).
Installing a New Software RVU With DSM/SCM
Changing the CONFTEXT file is not required when installing a new software RVU.
DSM/SCM automatically runs SYSGENR when needed. Refer to the following
documentation:

Installing an Interim Product Modification (IPM) With DSM/SCM
