SYSTEM_PROCESS_LIBRARY_FILES (Required)
SYSTEM_PROCESS_LIBRARY_FILES (Required)
This entry defines user library files for DP2. Through SYSGENR, the native linker
program (NLD) links these files to the DP2 file. If you use the CONFAUX file (the
normal procedure), you need enter only the installation descriptor
TANDEM^PROCESS^LIBRARY^FILES. The form of this entry is shown here.
If you do not use the CONFAUX file, you must list the
SYSTEM_PROCESS_LIBRARY_FILES entry, followed by the names of user library
files required for your system. For multiple files, enter a comma (,) after each file name
and a semicolon (;) after the last file name listed.
The following is an example of a SYSTEM_PROCESS_LIBRARY_FILES entry for a
G-series RVU.
SYSTEM_PROCESSOR_TYPE (Required)
To differentiate NonStop S-series systems, you must specify the processor type. On
G-series RVUs, it is not necessary to change this value when you change the
processor type, except when you migrate from a HP NonStop S7000 to a S7x000
server.
The following example shows an entry that specifies the processor type for a NonStop
S72000 server.
If you have more than one type of processor in your system, this value should be the
processor type of CPU 0.
For a complete list of available processor types, refer to the HP S-Series Planning and
Configuration Guide.
SYSTEM_VOLUME_SUBVOL (Required)
This entry specifies the system volume and subvolume that is to contain the new
version of the operating system image and the system-dependent and RVU-dependent
software.
If DSM/SCM indicates that using SYSGEN to generate a new system image is required
for the update you are performing, you are asked to specify a different SYSnn than the
current, generally by incrementing the octal nn value.
