PARAM Command

To delete an individual parameter, enter the following command:
> CLEAR PARAM paramname

To delete all PARAMS and ASSIGNS in effect, enter the following command:
> CLEAR ALL

SYSGENR uses for the PARAM command are summarized in Table 3-2 and detailed in 
the following pages. 
Table 3-2. SYSGENR Uses for the PARAM Command
PARAM Function
BACKUPONLY Requests that SYSGENR prompt you for BACKUP 
options to produce a system image tape (SIT), rather than 
prompt for system image on disk (SID) options.
BINDER^COMMANDS Causes BINDER to not print warnings 59, 60, and 61.
DENSITY Specifies the density of the SIT tape to be created.
EXTENTSIZE Specifies the number of pages to be allocated for both the 
primary and secondary extent sizes of the SYSGENA 
work file (the OSIMAGE file).
PROMPT Specifies whether BACKUP will prompt you if the tape 
drive on which you are writing the SIT is not ready when 
you receive the prompt to create a SIT.
REUSEDP2
Specifies whether SYSGENR will reuse a previously built 
SYSDP2 file. 
REUSESYSFILES Specifies whether SYSGENR will reuse system code, 
system library, or SYSCLR files. 
REUSETEMPLATES Specifies whether SYSGENR will reuse previously built 
Event Management Service (EMS) templates. 
SECURENUNU Specifies whether SYSGENR will change the security of 
files it creates from A-A- to NUNU.
SYSGEN^BACKUPPARAM Supplies input parameters to BACKUP so that you do not 
receive the SYSGENR prompt for the first SIT.
SYSGEN^DISKGENPARAM Supplies input parameters to DISKGEN so that you do not 
receive the SYSGENR prompt for the first SID.
TAPEMODE Specifies the tape mode to be used for the SIT drive. 
UNLOAD Specifies whether the SIT is to be left unloaded or online 
after SYSGENR has finished creating it.
WORKFILE Specifies a volume, a subvolume, or both, where 
SYSGENR, BIND, NLD, TEMPLI, and XLLINK work files 
are to be created.
XLLINKCPU Specifies the processors in which SYSGENR is to run 
XLLINK.
