Responding to Further DISKGEN Prompts
In the following example, DISKGEN copies to \DATA.$SYSTEM.SYS05 (connected
to this system by Expand) all updated files, excluding files on the SYSTEM
subvolume, and sends to the home terminal a list of all files copied:
\DATA1.$SYSTEM.SYS05, *.*.* EXCLUDE SYSTEM.*, LISTALL
In the following example, DISKGEN runs only once, to make a copy of the just-
modified CONFLIST and OSIMAGE files:
$SYSTEM.SYS03, (CONFLIST, OSIMAGE)!
In the following example, DISKGEN was stopped before completion by an external
event and reissued its prompt, “Do you want to write another system image to
disk?” You can restart DISKGEN where it was interrupted by entering the following
command:
$SYSTEM.SYS03, *.*.* START SYS03.OSIMAGE
Responding to Further DISKGEN Prompts
After you enter the DISKGEN options, DISKGEN displays its banner and writes the
system image to disk:

Do you want to write another system image to disk?
[Y(es)/N(o)]
You can run DISKGEN as many times as you wish. You can terminate DISKGEN by
entering “No”, or by putting an exclamation mark (!) at the end of your last response
where you want a system image written.
When DISKGEN terminates, SYSGENR offers you the option of exiting SYSGENR or
of creating a system image tape with BACKUP, discussed next.
