SYSGENR Message Descriptions
Cause. BACKUP has terminated. This message appears on the home terminal.
Effect. SYSGENR continues and prompts for another tape device name.
Recovery. If BACKUP has terminated because the tape device is nonexistent (file-
system error 14) or is in use (file-system error 12), then correct or redefine the
specified tape device and retry the operation. Otherwise, take corrective action for the
error condition, and rerun SYSGENR.
Cause. The BACKUP program has failed to start because of the file-system error
indicated.
Effect. SYSGENR prompts for the BACKUP program again.
Recovery. Refer to the Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual for
corrective action for file-system error nnn. Correct the error before responding to the
prompt again. If nnn is 011, indicating that the program file is not found, issue a FUP
DUP command to place a copy of BACKUP on the $SYSTEM.SYSnn subvolume.
Cause. SYSGENR has detected invalid information in the filename Accelerator
header.
Effect. SYSGENR finishes scanning the CONFTEXT file and then terminates.
Recovery. Gather the items listed on page A-1, then call your service provider.
Cause. You have specified an invalid file in the STANDARD_MICROCODE entry of
the CONFTEXT file.
Effect. SYSGENR terminates.
Recovery. Use the CONFAUX file created by DSM/SCM without modifying the
STANDARD_MICROCODE entry in the CONFTEXT file. If this fails to correct the
error, gather the items listed on page A-1, then call your service provider.
