In general, you should define these categories:
• One category that includes all disk processes (except audit disk processes). Disk processes
are assigned to one category only.
• If the system is TMF-audited, one TMF category that includes the audit disk processes. (The
default file assumes an audit disk name of $AUDIT.)
• One category for each major server class.
• One category for each set of TCPs (or other requesters) that are dedicated to one or more
major transactions.
• One category for each set of line handlers that are dedicated to one or more major transactions.
Figure 8 (page 55) shows an excerpt from the template file and shows typical process categories
for an application:
