Tandem Logon Manager for IBM Systems (ILOGMGR) Manual

Configuring for the ILOGMGR
Tandem Logon Manager for IBM Systems (ILOGMGR) Manual127335 3-11
Multiple Instances of ILOGMGR and TLOGMGR
In this configuration, the control files and the NCP must be configured for the additional
TLOGMGR. Any applications that are to be accessed through either of the TLOGMGRs
also must be associated with the appropriate TLOGMGR. In this example, the control
file for ILOGMGR1 is configured as follows (ILOGMGR2 is configured the same way
except that the name specified for the ILOGMGR is ILOGMGR2):
ILOGMGR=ILOGMGR1
TLOGMGR=TLOGMGR1,
TDMAPPLS=tcl1
TLOGMGR=TLOGMGR2,
TDMAPPLS=tcl2
The NCP is configured as follows:
group1 GROUP…
line1 LINE…
pub PU XID=YES…
TLOGMGR1 LU…
TLOGMGR2 LU…
On the Tandem side, SCF must be configured as follows:
ADD #TLOGMGR1, TYPE(14,21), SNANAME TLOGMGR1,
PROTOCOL LOGON, DLUNAME #ILOGMGR1
ADD #TLOGMGR2, TYPE(14,21), SNANAME TLOGMGR2,
PROTOCOL LOGON, DLUNAME #ILOGMGR2
As a result of this configuration, both TLOGMGRs can communicate with both
ILOGMGRs. Note that each TLOGMGR can be in session with both ILOGMGRs at the
same time. However, each TLOGMGR can initiate a session only with the ILOGMGR
specified in its DLUNAME attribute. The second session must be initiated by the second
ILOGMGR. See the SNAX/APN Configuration and Control Manual for further details.
An ILOGMGR in Session With TLOGMGRs on Separate
SNAX/APN Lines
Figure 3-3 shows an ILOGMGR communicating with two instances of the TLOGMGR
on two SNAX/APN lines. The lines shown are attached to the same Tandem system.
