Tandem Logon Manager for IBM Systems
(ILOGMGR)
Pathway transaction processing environment. A run-time environment consisting of
Tandem’s transaction-processing products for the Guardian operating environment. This
term is often shortened to “Pathway environment.” The major components of the
Pathway environment are NonStop TS/MP and the run-time portions of Pathway/TS (the
TCP and the SCREEN COBOL run-time environment).
PROGRAM_START_ABORT. The message sent from the ILOGMGR to a TLOGMGR or
from a TLOGMGR to the ILOGMGR to terminate a session request.
PROGRAM_START_REPLY. The message sent from a TLOGMGR to the ILOGMGR to
indicate a session has been requested between the Tandem application as PLU and a
terminal or IBM application as SLU.
PROGRAM_START_REQ. The message sent from the ILOGMGR to a TLOGMGR to
request a session between a Tandem application as PLU and a terminal or IBM
application as SLU.
SNA sense code. The data that indicates why a Systems Network Architecture (SNA)
command was rejected.
SNALU. See SNAX Application Logical Unit.
SNAX Application Logical Unit (SNALU). A SNAX/APN application protocol that
provides the functions of the lower two SNA layers (data link control and path control)
and some functions of the transmission control layer. SNALU allows you to send
Program Start Requests from the TLOGMGR to the ILOGMGR.
SNAX Creator-2. Tandem software that supports SNAX/XF and SNAX/APN by creating
new application processes. It succeeds SNAX Creator.
SNAX/APN logon manager (TLOGMGR). The module within SNAX/APN that handles
logon from a remote 3270 device, and that works in cooperation with the Tandem Logon
Manager for IBM Systems (ILOGMGR).
SYNAD exit routine. A VTAM inline exit routine that is entered when physical errors are
detected by the host processor.
SYSUDUMP. The data definition name of a data definition statement that specifies the data
set where the MVS system dumps the user memory areas upon abnormal termination of
a session.
TACL. See Tandem Advanced Command Language.
Tandem Advanced Command Language (TACL). The user interface to the Tandem
NonStop Kernel in the Guardian environment. TACL is both a command interpreter and
a command language.
Tandem Logon Manager for IBM Systems (ILOGMGR). Tandem software that runs in
IBM systems to support the SNAX/APN extended logon facility. See also SNAX/APN
logon manager.
