The TELNET subsystem accepts the PROC object type in the following control-and-
inquiry interface commands:
ALTER RESETSTATS
GETVERSION STATISTICS
INFO STATUS
LISTOPENS TRACE
The TELNET subsystem accepts the WINDOW object type in the following control-
and-inquiry interface commands:
ABORT RESETSTATS
ADD START
ALTER STATISTICS
DELETE STATUS
INFO STOP
LISTOBJECTS TRACE
The TELNET subsystem accepts the NULL object type in the following control-and-
inquiry interface commands:
GETVERSION
LISTOBJECTS
Sensitive and
Nonsensitive
Commands
Commands can be divided into two categories, sensitive and nonsensitive. Sensitive
commands can change the state of the specified object; nonsensitive commands cannot.
In addition, sensitive commands can be issued only by users in the SUPER user group
or users in the same group as the owner of the process with which the target object is
associated. Nonsensitive commands can be issued by any valid user on the system.
The following sensitive commands are available to a TELNET subsystem user:
ABORT RESETSTATS
ADD START
ALTER STOP
DELETE TRACE
The following nonsensitive commands are available to a TELNET subsystem user:
GETVERSION LISTOPENS
INFO STATISTICS
LISTOBJECTS STATUS

On the following pages, each command and its response are described in detail. The
command descriptions appear in alphabetic order.
Each command description features a box that contains the symbolic name of the
command, the symbolic names of all object types accepted by the command, a list of
tokens that can be present in the command buffer, and a list of tokens that can be
present in the response buffer.
