Types of Addresses
In the preceding address format, the fields have this definition:
11111111
Identifies the address as multicast.
Flags
Can be either 0000, which indicates a permanently-assigned (well-known)
multicast address, or 0001, which indicates a temporary (transient) multicast
address.
Scope
Indicates the scope of the multicast group. This table lists the scope values:
Group ID
Identifies the multicast group within the specified scope. Well-known multicast
addresses are:
