ADD SUBNET Command for TCP6MAN
The default is ON for an Ethernet SUBNET whose TYPE is ETHERNET. The
default is OFF for loopback and tunnel SUBNETs.
IPV6MTU int
alters the maximum transfer unit (MTU) for messages that the system transmits on
the link. The specification for int can range from 1 through the default maximum
MTU of the interface/SUBNET. The default maximum for int is 1500 for TYPE
ETHERNET SUBNETs and 65535 for loopback SUBNETs. The minimum is 1280.
IPV6REACHABLETIME int
specifies the time interval, in milliseconds, that your system considers a neighbor
to be reachable after your system receives a reachability confirmation message.
The range for int is 1 through 3600000 milliseconds (ms). The default value is
30000 milliseconds.
IPV6RETRANSMITIMER int
specifies the time interval, in milliseconds, between neighbor solicitation messages
to a neighbor. The value forint must be greater than zero. The default value is
1000 ms.
IPV6DADRETRIES int
specifies the number of consecutive neighbor solicitation messages that your
system transmits when it performs duplicate address detection on a tentative IPv6
address. The specified value must be greater than zero. The default value is 1 for
SUBNETs of TYPE ETHERNET and zero for loopback SUBNETs.
IPV6HOPLIMIT int
sets the default number of hops to be included in the transmitted unicast IP
packets. The range for int is 1 through 255. The default value is 64.
IPV6RAENABLE { ON | OFF }
enables (ON) the TCP6MON process to perform these tasks when a router
advertisement (RA) is received:
Router Discovery. The TCP6MON process learns the IPv6 address of a router
and installs default routes in the NonStop TCP/IPv6 routing tables.
On-Link Prefix Discovery. The TCP6MON process learns IPv6 on-link prefix
(Ranges of IPv6 addresses that are directly reachable on a given link).
Stateless Address Configuration. The TCP6MON process automatically
creates and deletes interface addresses.
Interface Attribute Configuration. The TCP6MON process automatically
configures datalink attributes such as hop limit, reachable time, retransmit time,
and link MTU.
