ADD SUBNET Command for TCP6MAN
IPV6DADRETRIES int
specifies the number of consecutive neighbor solicitation messages that your
system transmits when it performs duplicate address detection on a tentative IPv6
address. The specified value must be greater than zero. The default value is 1 for
SUBNETs of TYPE ETHERTNET and zero for loopback SUBNETs.
IPV6HOPLIMIT int
sets the default number of hops to be included in the transmitted unicast IP
packets. The range for int is 1 through 255. The default value is 64.
IPV6RAENABLE { ON | OFF }
enables (ON) the TCP6MON process to perform these tasks when a router
advertisement (RA) is received:
Router Discovery. The TCP6MON process learns the IPv6 address of a router
and installs default routes in the NonStop TCP/IPv6 routing tables.
On-Link Prefix Discovery. The TCP6MON process learns IPv6 on-link prefix
(ranges of IPv6 addresses that are directly reachable on a given link).
Stateless Address Configuration. The TCP6MON process automatically
creates and deletes interface addresses (assuming that a router that supports
the neighbor discovery protocol is available on the network).
Interface Attribute Configuration. The TCP6MON process automatically
configures datalink attributes such as hop limit, reachable time, retransmit time,
and link MTU.
Sending an RA message to ND6HOSTD process. Upon receipt of this
message, the ND6HOSTD process automatically updates the global address
information in DNS.
Specifying this attribute as OFF disables the routing table and interface
configuration update during the RA message processing. TCP6MON, however,
continues to send RA messages to ND6HOSTD process. The default value is OFF.
FAILOVER { SHAREDIP| NONSHAREDIP }
enables the SUBNET to be failover-capable using these configuration:
SHAREDIP has the same IP address as the associated SUBNET in the
failover configuration.
NONSHAREDIP has a different IP address than the associated SUBNET in the
failover configuration.
LNPTPLIST "tcp6sam list"
specifies that this SUBNET is part of a logical network partition and specifies the
transport-service provider processes (TCP6SAM processes) that provide access
for this partition. If this attribute is not specified, this SUBNET is part of the default
