TRACE Command
Examples
To terminate the operation of the SUBNET SN2:
SCF> STOP SUBNET $ZZTCP.*.SN2
Considerations
To stop a SUBNET immediately, use the ABORT command.
To remove a SUBNET from the system configuration database, use the DELETE
SUBNET command.
You can use the wild-card (*) notation for the TCP6MON name, but if you do not, it
is assumed.
TRACE Command
The TRACE command lets you capture and store records that you can then display
using the PTrace utility. The TRACE command can request the capture of data items,
alter trace attributes that were set by a previous use of the command, or stop a
previously requested trace operation.
An SCF trace produces a trace file that can be displayed using the commands
available in the PTrace program. The trace file is created by SCF. The PTrace program
is described in the PTrace Reference Manual.
This is a sensitive command.
TRACE MON Command for TCP6MAN
The TRACE MON command creates trace records corresponding to TCP6MON
process activities. Note that NOBULKIO is a required parameter for the MON object.
You cannot trace all TCP6MONs in all processors; you can only trace one TCP6MON
at a time. The wild card (*) is not supported.
Caution. The trace operation can significantly increase processor use by the NonStop
TCP/IPv6 subsystem.
