Tips for Migrating From Parallel Library TCP/IP to
NonStop TCP/IPv6
Use TCPMAN (not TCPSAM) SCF commands to get a full description of the
Parallel Library TCP/IP configuration. TCPSAM shows only partial configuration
information about its own processor.
To obtain a list of all running NonStop TCP/IP processes and all running
TCP6SAM processes, enter LISTDEV TCPIP. To obtain a list of all TCP6MAN and
TCP6MON processes, enter LISTDEV TCPIPV6.
You can run NonStop TCP/IPv6 in the Kseg2 memory space. See the QIO
Configuration and Management Manual for more information.
Follow the procedure for stopping the Parallel Library TCP/IP subsystem and
preserving the database from the TCP/IP (Parallel Library) Configuration and
Management Manual. To remove the old Parallel Library TCP/IP records from the
configuration database, follow the procedures for stopping the Parallel Library
TCP/IP subsystem and clearing the database in the TCP/IP (Parallel Library)
Configuration and Management Manual. However, only remove the records when
you are certain you will not want to fall back to Parallel Library TCP/IP; you need
not clear the database when migrating to NonStop TCP/IPv6.
