ACQUIREFILES
The ACQUIREFILES command instructs TFDS to include specified additional files
(files not automatically backed up) when it backs up the dump files.
filename
specifies the names of any additional file or files to back up.
ACTIVE
adds filename to the file list for any active backup requests. If ACTIVE is not
selected, filename is added to the list containing the files that are always backed
up.
OFF
removes filename from the list of files to back up.
Guidelines
•
TFDS collects the following files, in addition to dump files, at the time of a software
failure. These files are automatically backed up, without your specifying them with
the ACQUIREFILES command:
°
CONFLIST
°
OSCONFIG
°
TSC
°
TSL
°
TSYSCLR
Caution. Requesting certain actions while TFDS is processing an event can result in TFDS
processing errors. For example, if the AUTORELOAD command is turned off while TFDS is
processing a halted processor, TFDS might terminate incident processing. To determine if
TFDS is currently processing an event, use the TFDSCOM HISTORY command or an event
viewer such as ViewPoint. The TFDSCOM STATUS shows processing of CPU DOWNs but not
processing as a result of instrumented subsystems.
