BACKUPDELAY
This example shows the output of the BACKUP STATUS command:
04 - Active
05 - Active
06 - Active
The BACKUP STATUS command displays the status of the pending and active
TFDS backup requests.
The example shows that the logical backup requests 04, 05, and 06 are being
processed. It appears from the example that backup requests 01, 02, and 03 have
already been attended, but the example does not indicate whether the associated
backup requests succeeded. Requests can be canceled manually, internally, or
externally.
BACKUPDELAY
The BACKUPDELAY command instructs TFDS to wait a specific number of minutes
before it starts an AUTOBACKUP.
time
is the number of minutes AUTOBACKUP waits. The minute range is 0 through
1440. The default value is 1.
Guidelines
•
If the command is entered incorrectly, an error message is issued, and the
previous time value remains in effect.
•
TFDS not only uses the BACKUPDELAY time parameter to initiate a backup
request, it also uses an internal defined parameter that counts the number of
incidents. If the parameters do not reach their threshold, TFDS is not triggered. In
this case, TFDS accumulates information generated for each incident until one of
the parameters enables TFDS to start a backup.
BURSTINTERVAL
The BURSTINTERVAL command sets the number of hours that a rediscovery incident
will be part of a burst. With BURSTSUPPRESSION enabled, no TFDS database entry
is created, and no event is sent to the maintenance log ($ZLOG).
hours
is the number of hours a rediscovery incident will be part of a burst. The hour
range is 0 through 600. The default value is 336 hours.
