BURSTNOTIFY
Guidelines
You can use the abbreviation bi in place of BURSTINTERVAL.
You must set BURSTSUPPRESSION to ON for BURSTINTERVAL to start.
BURSTINTERVAL does not override the BURSTSUPPRESSION setting.
For a suppressed incidents report, use the TASKS command.
BURSTNOTIFY
Use the BURSTNOTIFY command to create a rediscovery window that creates a
summary event in the maintenance log ($ZLOG) and a dial-out to the GCSC (if TSM is
configured for automatic dial-out).
num-times
is the number of incident rediscoveries within the interval. The incident range is 1
through 101. The default value is 15.
num-minutes
is the number of minutes in the interval. The minute range is 1 through 25200. The
default value is 7200.
Guidelines
You can use the abbreviation bn in place of BURSTNOTIFY.
You must set BURSTSUPPRESSION to ON for BURSTNOTIFY to start.
BURSTNOTIFY controls notification of processes that send redundant error
information. Disabling this feature forces TFDS to add duplicate incidents to the
TFDS database and issue an internal error event for each recurrent problem. HP
does not recommend disabling this option.

Note. To identify BURSTNOTIFY events, check the ID part of the symptom string. The number
90000 added to the event ID marks the event as a BURSTNOTIFY event.
