DUMPOVERRIDE
DUMPOVERRIDE
The DUMPOVERRIDE command instructs TFDS to always collect a processor dump
after a processor has halted due to a software failure, overriding the normal TFDS
operation that suppresses processor dumps for duplicate incidents.
ON
instructs TFDS to collect a processor dump after a processor has halted.
OFF
instructs TFDS not to collect a processor dump after a processor has halted. The
default DUMPOVERRIDE setting is OFF.
Guidelines
•
You can use the abbreviation do in place of DUMPOVERRIDE.
•
The DUMPOVERRIDE setting is OFF by default to provide for the most efficient
system operation. The first time a unique incident (one that does not exist in the
TFDS incident database) is detected, a processor dump is collected (assuming
AUTODUMP is ON). Recurrences of the same incident (another incident in the
same program, same spot in the program, same halt code, and same stack trace)
suppress the collection of a processor dump.
•
Set DUMPOVERRIDE to ON only when you want to collect a processor dump for
every CPU HALT. If you need an additional processor dump for a particular
incident, use the INCIDENT DUMPOVERRIDE command.
DUMPVOLUME
The DUMPVOLUME command specifies the disk drive on which TFDS attempts to
create the files required to dump memory contents.
volume
specifies the drive where TFDS generates the dump.
%
specifies the percentage of free disk space required.
ALTERNATE VOLUMES ALLOWED
lets TFDS select another drive if the first one does not have the specified amount
of free space. (TFDS looks to see if ALTERNATE-VOLUMES has any volumes
