IGNOREOPERATORHALTS
Examples
This example sets the ignore flag for processors 2 and 3:
IGNORECPUS 2 3
This example causes all processors to be ignored:
IGNORECPUS ALL
This example cancels the ignore flag for processor 0:
IGNORECPUS OFF 0
IGNOREOPERATORHALTS
Use the IGNOREOPERATORHALTS command to demonstrate the TFDS AUTODUMP
and AUTORELOAD features.
ON
directs TFDS to ignore operator halts. The default IGNOREOPERATORHALTS
setting is ON, which means that no incident is put in the TFDS database and no
600x Software Error Event is generated.
OFF
causes a processor dump (if AUTODUMP is enabled) and reload (if
AUTORELOAD is enabled) when a tool such as FIST, a TSM Low-Level Link
Application, or DIVER initiates a HALT.
Guideline
You can use the abbreviation ih in place of IGNOREOPERATORHALTS.
INCIDENT
The INCIDENT command updates the DUMPOVERRIDE field of an incident record in
the TFDS incident database. Setting this flag forces a processor dump (if AUTODUMP
is enabled) for the next occurrence of a software failure. Set this flag only on the ROOT
or initial incident record. (To determine the ROOT incident record, use the REPORT
command.)
IGNOREOPERATORHALTS { ON | OFF }
Caution. Never set IGNOREOPERATORHALTS to OFF in an operational system.
