TFDS Manual
Tandem Failure Data System (TFDS) Manual—520628-003
vii
About This Manual
TFDS, a component of the HP NonStop™ Kernel operating system, is a software
isolation tool that automates most tasks associated with failure data collection and
resource recovery in the event of software-related processor failure.
Use this manual to:
•
Understand how and when to use TFDS
•
Start and manage TFDS through the Subsystem Control Facility (SCF)
•
Use TFDSCOM commands to configure TFDS options and perform TFDS actions
•
Identify Event Management Service (EMS) messages
This manual is intended for users who are familiar with the NonStop Kernel, file-system
terminology, and basic processor halt concepts. You should also have a general
understanding of memory dumps and RCVDUMP activity.
