Commands Default Value Value Range Explanation
NEED OFF keeps the specified number of lines on the
same page.
NEW starts a new page.
OUTLEN 70 1-132 Columns defines the length of the line and indirectly
controls the right margin.
OUT 1 selects the pages of document to print.
OV overprints a line. If you omit the command
option, then TGAL overprints one line.
PAGELEN 66 13-90 Lines determines the number of lines on each
page.
PAUSE OFF displays one page of document at a time.
POFF 0 1-65 Columns determines the print offset or the left
margin.
SECT “ ” 1 controls page numbers and defines
section titles.
SEQ OFF numbers the lines of text on a page.
SET 1-10 OFF sets the condition for a toggle that a later
IF command tests.
SPACE leaves the specified number of lines blank.
If you omit the command option, then
TGAL leaves one line blank.
SUBHEAD “ ” prints the specified text at the top of the
page.
TAG “ ” OFF defines the revision level of a set of lines.
You must use the VERSION command
with this command.
TEXT OFF joins and justifies lines of text.
TODAY SHORT
“/” USA
establishes the format in which the current
date is printed when the option is specified
in the HEAD, SUBHEAD, or FOOT
commands.
TOPMARGIN 6 6-30 Lines determines the size of the top margin in
lines.
TRANSPARENT prints TGAL command lines as text until
the next TRANSPARENT command.
TRIGGER “\” changes the mark that identifies TGAL
commands.
