CENTER Command Use the CENTER command to enter lines of text. This command centers the text
within the line length, according to the value specified in the OUTLEN command. The
command alone indicates that only one line is to be centered.
The syntax of the CENTER command is:
CENTER
ON
OFF
number
B
trigger
ON
specifies that all lines between this command and the next CENTER OFF
command are to be centered.
OFF
specifies that lines are no longer to be centered.
number
specifies the number of text lines to be centered. Do not include command lines in
this number, only text lines.
B
specifies that all lines until the next blank line or until the next trigger character,
either alone or as part of another TGAL command, are to be centered.
trigger
specifies that all lines until the next trigger character, either alone or as part of
another TGAL command, are to be centered.
Considerations
If you change the trigger with the TRIGGER command, remember to change the
trigger character in the CENTER command.
The CENTER command suppresses the joining and justifying of lines.
When you specify a number in the CENTER command, you must count each
overprinted line. Count all the text lines to be overprinted when you use the OV
command with the CENTER command, but do not count the command lines.
If you do not use this command, TGAL assumes:
CENTER OFF
