DBL Command Use the DBL command to control double spacing. When you sue DBL ON, all of the
text that follows is double spaced until the DBL OFF command. The DBL command
affects lines of text. This command puts one blank line after each line of text, including
the last line in a paragraph. It also affects blank lines. Thus, TGAL prints a blank line,
then leaves a blank line for the double space.
The syntax of the DBL command is:
DBL
ON
OFF
ON
starts double spacing text.
OFF
stops double spacing text.
Considerations
The DBL command does not affect the function of other commands. For example,
if you use a SPACE 3 command when you have double spacing on, you only get
three blank lines, not six. You might have an extra blank line if a text line
immediately preceded the space command.
If you do not use this command, TGAL assumes:
DBL OFF
Example
This example shows using the DBL command to insert a blank line after each text line.
Notice in the example the SPACE command produces the specified number of lines
and is not affected by the DBL command.
