POFF Command Use the POFF command to establish the print offset (the left margin). With this
command, you specify the number of spaces to be used for the left margin. TGAL
assumes that the first print position is the leftmost position. The POFF command
determines the margin for an entire page.
The syntax of the POFF command is:
POFF
number
number
is the number of spaces for the left margin. This can be any number between
0 and 65.
Considerations
The POFF command provides a left margin for both even-numbered and odd-
numbered pages. The ALT command provides additional spaces only for the
odd-numbered pages.
You cannot change the left margin within a page. A new specification for the
POFF command begins on the following page.
Example
This example shows using the POFF command to indent the left margin for each page
of an entire document. If you enter:

INTRODUCTION

SECTION 1
This report is designed to explain and to describe the progress
achieved in stress management using mice as the guinea pigs.
This research began in an attempt to develop a program that can
be used on the corporate level to teach employees to manage
stress. The questions the research team set out to answer were:
o When does a crowd become unbearable?
Tests were designed to determine the maximum density of mice
possible before the mice started behaving strangely.
o How much private space is necessary?
Several mice houses were built of varying sizes and with
varying number of rooms.
