TEXT Command Use the TEXT command to join and right justify lines. This command is the same as
setting both the JOIN and the JUSTIFY commands.
The syntax of the TEXT command is:
TEXT
ON
OFF
ON
indicates the lines between this command and the next TEXT OFF command are to
be joined and justified.
OFF
indicates the end of the lines that are to be joined and justified.
Considerations
The BOX and CENTER commands suppress the joining and justifying of lines.
The OV command, when used with the TEXT command, causes lines to be joined
and justified.
If you do not use this command, TGAL assumes:
TEXT OFF
Examples
These examples show using the OV command with the TEXT command.
1. This example shows the interaction between overprinting a line and joining and
justifying a line. It also shows a potential problem that you can avert if the
overprinted line is kept short.
\TEXT ON;OV
Description: This product produces a reaction
____________
that can be described as....
The entire line beginning with the word “Description” is the longest overprinted
line. TGAL joins the text with the following line, but justifies the line by inserting
extra blanks after “that,” “can,” and so on. TGAL produces:
Description: This product produces a reaction that can be
described as....
