RECOVER FILES Command Specification
most recent consistent state. The location is specified by the atseqno and rba
parameters:
atseqno
specifies the sequence number of the MAT file where recovery is to stop. For
this value, you enter only the numeric portion of the file name. For example, to
recover to a relative byte address in MAT file AA000239, you enter only 239 as
the atseqno value.
rba
specifies the relative byte address (byte offset) in the MAT file where recovery
is to stop.
UNLOAD {ON | OFF}
determines whether the tape volume is unloaded after it has been used. ON
unloads the tape volume. OFF suppresses unloading. The default is ON.
TOPHYSVOL volume
identifies the physical target volume on which TMF should place the recovered
files. If you specify both the TOPHYSVOL and the WHEREPHYSVOLIS options,
the WHEREPHYSVOLIS option takes precedence.
WHEREPHYSVOLIS volume
identifies the original physical volumes where the files specified in the file-set
parameter are stored. This option limits the files to be recovered to those that
reside on the physical volumes. If you specify both the TOPHYSVOL and the
WHEREPHYSVOLIS options, the WHEREPHYSVOLIS option takes precedence.
RECOVERVDPPHASE1
recovers the underlying catalog for the virtual disk process (VDP). If you omit this
option, the files specified in file-set are recovered, but the catalog is not.
Caution. The TOPHYSVOL option is intended for use with NonStop Storage Management
Foundation (SMF) files only. Before you issue a RECOVER FILES command with this option, it
is vital that you read “Options for the SMF Product” in the RECOVER FILES command
description in the TMF Reference Manual.
