ENV
ENV
The ENV command displays the current operating environment for your TMFCOM
session.
Security Restrictions
Anyone can enter the ENV command.
TMF State Requirement
You can enter the ENV command at any time, even if TMF has been started.
Usage Guidelines
Unqualified file names that appear in TMFCOM commands are expanded according to
the default node, volume, and subvolumes currently in effect. In TMFCOM, you can
alter these defaults through the VOLUME, CMDVOL, and OBEYVOL commands. You
can also specify a different input file for your TMFCOM commands and an alternate
destination file for your TMFCOM output through the IN and OUT parameters,
respectively, in the TMFCOM command that begins your session. In addition, you can
change the TMFSERVE process with which your TMFCOM session communicates
through the OPEN SERVER command.
By using the ENV command, you can display the current settings for all of these
defaults.
If a NonStop node (system) name has been explicitly specified in the most recent
VOLUME, CMDVOL, or OBEYVOL command, the ENV command also displays this
node name.
Output Displayed
The ENV command presents the current default settings for your session environment.
The items in the display are listed in Table 3-4.
