OBEYVOL
•
If you omit node, no default node is recorded for your session; the node on which
your TMFSERVE process is running is assigned.
•
If you omit node, volume, and subvolume, the recorded default node, volume,
and subvolume for the OBEY command are cleared. As a result, unqualified file
names are expanded according to the defaults in effect when you started
TMFCOM.
At any time, you can display the currently recorded OBEY command default volume
and subvolume for your session by entering the ENV command.
When the OBEYVOL command is issued from a command file, and you omit both
volume and subvolume from this command, the following actions result:
•
If the command file is a disk file, unqualified command file names are expanded
according to the defaults for the current command input file.
•
If the command file is not a disk file, an error occurs. TMFCOM displays an error
message and ignores the OBEYVOL command.
If you specify an invalid volume or subvolume name in volume or subvolume,
respectively, TMFCOM returns an error message and ignores the OBEYVOL
command.
The distinction between the OBEYVOL command and the CMDVOL and VOLUME
commands, described elsewhere in this section, is as follows:
•
The OBEYVOL command applies only to unqualified file names used as OBEY
command parameters.
•
The CMDVOL command applies to all unqualified file names except those used as
OBEY command parameters.
•
The VOLUME command applies to all unqualified file names encountered in all
TMFCOM commands during the session, except those used as CMDVOL and
OBEYVOL command parameters.
Example
The following OBEYVOL command specifies that OBEY command file names whose
disk volume names are not qualified are expanded using the volume name $HELLO:
TMF 49> OBEYVOL $HELLO
The output from the following ENV command reflects this change:
TMF 50> ENV
Default Volume \TSII.$BOOKS1.STAFF
Volume None Specified
Command Volume None Specified
Obey Volume $HELLO.STAFF
In File \TSII.$ZTN1A.#PTGUJ0U
Out File \TSII.$ZTN1A.#PTGUJ0U
Server Process \TSII.$Z34H
