STATUS TMF
Increasing FILESPERVOLUME allocates new audit-trail files on each of the currently
configured active-audit volumes. This is the recommended approach because it
distributes the load of the new files across the active volumes. Use this option only if
the active volumes have sufficient room to accommodate the new files.
Adding an active-audit volume to the audit trail increases audit trail capacity by the
number of files specified in the FILESPERVOLUME attribute. You can use this option
only if you have a volume that is not already configured as an active-audit volume or a
data volume.
Adding an overflow volume to the audit trail will not immediately resolve the rollover or
audit generation problem; the condition will clear, however, once the oldest pinned
audit-trail file is copied to the overflow volume.
Regardless of the option you choose to solve this problem, it is important that you
determine the cause of the problem to make sure it does not recur.
