STATUS TRANSACTIONS
•
Whether the autoabort function is disabled for this transaction
•
If the transaction was unilaterally aborted on the remote node, the reason it
was aborted
•
The age of the transaction
If BRIEF is specified, only the transaction identifiers of the selected transactions
are listed. BRIEF is useful when you only need to list the transactions that match
your selection criteria.
If neither DETAIL nor BRIEF is chosen, the command output is displayed in a
tabular format like that in the first example shown under “Examples.”
If STATUS TRANSACTIONS is entered without any parameter list, the display includes
all transactions currently defined in the system (including committed distributed
transactions that have not been fully resolved on all nodes concerned).
Security Restrictions
Anyone can enter the STATUS TRANSACTIONS command.
TMF State Requirement
Before you can enter the STATUS TRANSACTIONS command, TMF must be started.
Usage Guidelines
The following usage guidelines apply to the STATUS TRANSACTION command.
General Guidelines
Transactions can be selected on the basis of transaction identifier, process name,
process ID, or transaction state. Both summarized and detailed information can also
be displayed for each transaction.
A transaction is displayed only if it matches all selection criteria specified in the
STATUS TRANSACTIONS command. Whenever you specify a list for an option, a
transaction is displayed if it matches any of the members in that list.
If you do not select the DETAIL option and a transaction has a recoverable resource
manager as either a parent or a child, the Parent and/or Child columns in the display
will contain the notation “Foreign” for each transaction branch. If a transaction has
been exported multiple times by different resource managers or by the same resource
manager, the entry “Foreign” will appear for each exported branch in the Child column.
TMF uses the “Foreign” notation in place of the name of the recoverable resource
manager because resource manager names can contain up to 128 characters—too
many to fit in a non-detailed display. However, you can display the actual names of
foreign resource managers in the Parent or Child column by using the DETAIL option
in the STATUS TRANSACTIONS command. In this case, the resource manager name
