STATUS TRANSACTIONS
•
If a STOP TMF operation has already been requested, issue the STOP TMF,
ABRUPT command to shut down TMF abruptly. Enter the STOP TMF, ABRUPT
command from a TMFCOM process running under a different TACL process.
Output Displayed
The STATUS TRANSACTIONS command displays the items explained in Table 3-25.
Note. Although this approach causes TMF to crash, this should not create a problem
because TMF shutdown was already in progress. The only noticeable side effect is that
when you next enter a START TMF command, the start operation takes a little longer to
execute (a maximum of 10 minutes, but typically far less time).
Table 3-25. STATUS TRANSACTIONS Output
Heading or Item Description
Transaction Identifier Transaction identifier that uniquely identifies the transaction;
consists of node name, CPU number, and sequence number. In
addition, if the tm-flags value used internally by the system is not
zero, this value appears in parentheses following the node name.
TMF uses one of the flags in tm-flags to track the number of
times TMF has been deleted and subsequently re-initiated. (For
more information about tm-flags, see the DELETE TMF
command discussion.)
Process CPU number and PIN of process running the transaction.
State State of the transaction: active, aborting, aborted, committed, hung,
or prepared.
Parent Parent node for a distributed transaction. If the DETAIL option is
not used, the notation “Foreign” indicates a foreign resource
manager.
Child Child node for a distributed transaction. If the DETAIL option is not
used, the notation “Foreign” indicates a foreign resource manager.
Starting MAT Seq. No Audit-trail file sequence number (for example, AA000001) of first
audit-trail file associated with this transaction.

explaining the reason.
# Attempts to Abort If the transaction was subject to abort attempts, the number of
