Cause. The command specified an invalid DENSITY parameter, which indicates the
density at which dumps are written to magnetic tape.
Effect. The command fails.
Recovery. Re-enter the command, using correct density value. For information about
determining an appropriate density, see Section 4, TMFCOM Tape Media
Considerations.

is the invalid or improper tape drive name.
Cause. The command specified, in the DRIVE parameter, an invalid name for a device
used for processing labeled tapes. (The DRIVE parameter is required if the LABEL
parameter is set to ON.) Perhaps the drive name was too long or contained improper
or wild-card characters.
Effect. The command fails.
Recovery. Verify that the tape drive name complies with the syntax rules listed in File
Names and Process Identifiers on page 3-6. Then, re-enter the command with a
proper tape drive name.
The command specified an invalid DENSITY parameter.
The command specified an invalid DRIVE parameter; either the
drive name was invalid or contained a wild-card character.
The invalid tape drive name was device.
