Cause. A STOP TMF command attempted to shut down TMF while TMF was being
started.
Effect. The command fails.
Recovery. Re-enter the STOP TMF command, this time using the ABRUPT option, or
wait until TMF is fully started and then re-enter the command as it was previously
entered.

Cause. A STOP command attempted to shut down TMF, but TMF shutdown was
already in progress.
Effect. None.
Recovery. Re-enter the STOP TMF command, this time using the ABRUPT option, or
wait until TMF is fully stopped.

Cause. A DELETE TMF command attempted to purge the TMF configuration while
TMF was running.
Effect. The command fails.
Recovery. Enter a STOP TMF command, wait until TMF stops, and then re-enter the
DELETE TMF command.
A STOP TMF command was issued while TMF was starting.
Caution. Use STOP TMF with the ABRUPT option with great care: this option causes TMF to
crash and forces the next START TMF command to spend more time in execution.
