Adding Online Dump File Names to the Catalog

To add one or more online dump entries to the catalog, use the following syntax:

ADD DUMPS {online-dump-file }

{(online-dump-file [,online-dump-file]...)}

,SERIAL serial-number

,TYPE ONLINEDUMP (master, data)

{,DISKMEDIA {disk }

{(disk [,disk]...)}}

{,TAPEMEDIA {tape }

{(tape [,tape]...)}}

[,TIME {month[-]day[-]year, hr:min[:sec] [GMT]}

{day[-]month[-]year, hr:min[:sec] [GMT]}]

online-dump-file:

[volume.][subvolume.]file-id

disk:

[node.]volume.{xx}serial-number.Ffile-number

tape:

tape-volume:part:copy

month:

{JAN|FEB|MAR|APR|MAY|JUN|JUL|AUG|SEP|OCT|NOV|DEC}

Caution. If recovery is needed, problems could occur if the time listed in the catalog is not the

time when the online dump actually took place; if you specify the TIME option, make sure to

enter the date and time completely and accurately.
