ALTER TMF
ALTER TMF
The ALTER TMF command changes the TMF configuration volume, switches the
functions of the TMP’s primary and backup processes, changes the audit-trail file
format (1 or 2), or alters attribute values for performance tuning.
CONFIGVOL volume
specifies the name of the volume that contains the configuration files to be used in
the next TMF startup. The volume must be accessible by the TMFMON2 process,
which creates other TMF processes during TMF startup.
SWITCHPROCESS TMP
switches the function of the TMP’s primary and backup processes, effectively
changing the primary process to the backup and vice-versa.
ATFORMAT format
converts the format to be used for all future audit-trail files. The value of format
can be either 1 for format 1 files or 2 for format 2 files.
