ALTER TMF
piodelaytimer
specifies, in microseconds, the time the TMP waits after completing its latest
work, before forwarding the PIO transport buffer contents. piodelaytimer
can range from 10000 through 2000000; TMF rounds to the nearest
centisecond the value you specify. The default is 100000.
OFF
disables PIO buffering, so that a message is sent as a single PIO for each
packet.
RESET PIOBUFFER selects the default settings, re-establishing the values of 600,
1, and 100000 for piobuffersize, maxpiosperbuffer, and piodelaytimer,
respectively.
TMPWAITTIMER {AUTO | OFF | microseconds}
RESET TMPWAITTIMER
determines how often the TMP awakens to check for pending transaction
completions.
AUTO
requests the TMP to re-calculate the transaction wait timer value every 10
seconds, based on the average transaction duration.
OFF
turns the wait timer off, so that the TMP processes every request as the
request arrives rather than waiting. OFF is the default setting.
microseconds
specifies the duration, in microseconds, that the TMP waits after processing its
last request before waking to process further requests. microseconds can
range from 10000 (one centisecond) to 1000000 (one second).
RESET TMPWAITTIMER selects the default setting, OFF.
Security Restrictions
You can use the ALTER TMF command only if you are a member of the super user
group.
Caution. For most systems, the standard default setting supplied by TMF for the
TMPWAITTIMER parameter is adequate. Before changing this parameter to another setting,
you should have a high-level TMF background and a clear understanding of the impact of this
parameter on your particular configuration; an inappropriate setting could drastically affect
system performance. For safe and effective use of this parameter, please contact the Global
Customer Support Center (GCSC) or your service provider.
