INFO DUMPS
execution are described in Directing Output to an Alternate Destination on
page 2-8. If OBEYFORM is not specified, normal formatting is used.
MEDIUM {TAPE | DISK}
selects, by medium, the kind of dumps for which information is listed:
TAPE
selects only dumps to tape.
DISK
selects only dumps to disk.
If the MEDIUM parameter is not specified, the report covers both tape and disk
dumps.
SERIAL serial-number
selects only dumps identified by serial-number. If you omit this option, the
report includes all dumps by default.
SORT {BYFILE | BYSERIAL}
displays dump information in the order indicated:
BYFILE
lists the selected dumps alphabetically by file name. If the SORT option is
omitted, this option is the default.
BYSERIAL
lists the selected dumps in descending numeric order by serial number.
STATUS
selects the dumps for which information is listed, according to their status:
ASSIGNED
selects only those dumps whose status is ASSIGNED, meaning that the dump
file is available for use in file recovery.
Note. If you use the OBEYFORM option, you must also use the SERIAL option and
specify the file-set as “*.*.*”. Furthermore, in this case, you cannot use the STATUS,
NOT, START, or MEDIUM options. The OBEYFORM option creates a command file
that will rebuild all the dump entries for a single dump serial number only. You can
use this file after a DELETE DUMPS command has incorrectly deleted needed dump
entries from the catalog.
