INFO TAPEMEDIA
INFO TAPEMEDIA
The INFO TAPEMEDIA command displays the configured attribute values of tape
volumes.
tape-volume
identifies the tape volume whose entries in the catalog are to be displayed. For
this parameter, use the name magnetically encoded on the tape volume.
*
displays all tape volume entries in the catalog. This is the default.
STATUS
displays tape volumes according to their status:
ASSIGNED
selects only those volumes whose status is ASSIGNED, meaning that they
contain valid dumps available for file recovery.
BAD
selects only those volumes whose status is BAD, meaning that they are
defective and not available for dumping or file recovery.
RELEASED
selects only those volumes whose status is RELEASED, meaning that they are
no longer required for file recovery.
SCRATCH
selects only those volumes whose status is SCRATCH, meaning that they can
be used for dumping files.
OBEYFORM
formats INFO TAPEMEDIA output as command file text that can be executed by
TMFCOM. TMF saves this output in the file designated by the OUT option
