STATUS RESOURCEMANAGER
Usage Guidelines
The STATUS RESOURCEMANAGER command allows you to select output on the
basis of the current state of resource managers, the processes that currently have
resource managers open, and the level of detail you wish. A transaction is displayed
only if it matches all selection criteria specified in the STATUS RESOURCEMANAGER
command. Thus, if you specify both the STATE and PROCESS options, information
appears only for resource managers that match both criteria.
If you select the DETAIL option, the display might be very long, depending on the
number of transaction branches currently outstanding for the recoverable resource
managers reported upon.
If you do not specify a resource manager name in the rm-name parameter, or if you
select the asterisk (*) option, information is displayed for all resource managers that
match the criteria set by STATE and PROCESS options.
Note. Resource managers, to which the STATUS RESOURCEMANAGER command applies,
support heterogeneous transaction processing. Resource managers are used in products
such as NonStop TUXEDO. Although TMFCOM and the TMFSERVE programmatic interface
provide TMF commands and options for operating on resource managers, system managers
who use them do so in the context of issues involving multiple software subsystems and inter-
platform considerations. Complete discussion of heterogeneous transaction processing and
the context in which resource-manager commands and options are used lies beyond the scope
of the TMF manual library.
For more information about heterogeneous transaction processing, see the Open Group
