STATUS TMF
CommitHold
(Global Status for
TMF)
The global Commit-Hold status for TMF:
OFF
COMMITHOLDMODE is set OFF; the commit-hold condition cannot
be enabled, activated, or suspended.
ENABLED
COMMITHOLDMODE has been set ON, and transaction completion
can take place normally. ENABLED is the normal COMMITHOLD
status. However, the commit-hold condition can now be activated if
conditions on the backup system require it.
ACTIVATED
The commit-hold condition is activated and transaction commits and
aborts are currently on hold. The duration timeout, if specified, is
now in effect and the duration timer is counting down. When
commit-hold status is ACTIVATED, the display also shows the
individual audit trails that are currently in the ACTIVATED state.
SUSPENDED
The commit-hold condition is temporarily suspended, allowing
transaction commit or abort to resume. The display shows the
reason for the suspension:
By Timeout
The timeout duration specified by the ALTER AUDITTRAIL
command expired.
By User Command
Someone issued an ALTER AUDITTRAIL command that
specified the SUSPEND option.
By Dual Failure
Commit-hold mode was activated, but a TMP control operation
simultaneously occurred that required TMF to perform the
specified timeout action (SUSPEND in this case) to prevent the
operation from hanging. This failure can result from any of the
following control operations:
-- A TMP backup process takeover or failure.
-- Any processor failure or reload.
-- A STOP TMF operation.
Transaction Rate Current TMF transaction rate, in transactions-per-second.
