Message Descriptions

Cause. A Subsystem Programmatic Interface (SPI) error occurred.
Effect. The command fails.
Recovery. This message should never appear. Make a note of the command entered 
and the circumstances. Then, contact the GCSC or your service provider.

Cause. An ADD TAPEMEDIA command was entered with an incompatible set of 
options.
Effect. The command fails.
Recovery. Re-enter the command with a valid combination of options.

Cause. A RESOLVE TRANSACTION command specified an invalid option in the 
STATE parameter. You must set STATE to either ABORTED (to abort the transaction) 
or COMMITTED (to commit the transaction).
Effect. The command fails.
Recovery. Re-enter the command with STATE set to either ABORTED or 
COMMITTED.
Subsystem Error: The value specified for the OVERWRITE LABEL 
option is invalid. This value can be only TRUE, FALSE, or 
NULL. Contact the Global Customer Support Center (GCSC) or 
your service provider.
An ADD TAPEMEDIA command contained an inconsistent 
combination of options. The LABEL option must always be 
present. If LABEL OFF is specified, the STATUS option must 
be present and the DRIVE, DENSITY, and UNLOAD options must 
NOT be present. If LABEL ON is specified, the DRIVE option 
must be present, the DENSITY and UNLOAD options are optional, 
and the STATUS option must NOT be present.
The command specified an invalid STATE parameter value, or 
omitted this parameter completely. This parameter must be 
set to either ABORTED or COMMITTED.
