Message Descriptions

Cause. An ALTER PROCESS command specified invalid EXTENDEDSEGSIZE
values for integer1 and integer2; for example, an integer2 value that was less than the
integer1 value or an integer2 value that was not a multiple of the integer1 value.
Effect. The command fails.
Recovery. Check the syntax rules for the command. Then, re-enter the command,
specifying proper integer1 and integer2 values.

Cause. A VOLUME command specified an illegal volume or subvolume name.
Effect. The command fails.
Recovery. Verify that the volume or subvolume name complies with the syntax rules
listed in File Names and Process Identifiers on page 3-6. Then, re-enter the
command, using a correct volume name.

Cause. The command contained an invalid file name−perhaps one that contained
improper characters or was too long.
Effect. The command fails.
Recovery. Verify that the file name complies with the syntax rules listed in File Names
and Process Identifiers on page 3-6. Then, re-enter the command with a correct file
name.
EXTENDEDSEGSIZE integers are not valid. Integer2 must be
equal to or greater than integer1 and integer2 must be a
multiple of integer1.
Illegal volume or subvolume specified.
Illegal file name.
