Message Descriptions

Cause. A RECOVER FILES command specified, in the MAP NAMES option, a new-
file-set that included a component name (volume name, subvolume name, or file
ID) that contained the wild-card character * (asterisk) among other characters.
However, the wild-card character (*) can only be used in place of a full component
name. For example, $volume1.*.filea is correct, but $volume1.sub*.filea is not.
Effect. The command fails.
Recovery. Re-enter the command, using the wild-card character properly in new-
fileset.

Cause. A RECOVER FILES command omitted a comma or right-parenthesis where
TMFCOM expected one in the MAP NAMES option.
Effect. The command fails.
Recovery. Check the syntax rules for the command, then re-enter it.

Cause. A TMF error occurred.
Effect. The command fails.
Recovery. This message should never appear. Make a note of the command entered.
Then, contact the GCSC or your service provider.

Cause. A RECOVER FILES command specified too many characters in the MAP
NAMES option. This option cannot include more than 28 KB.
Effect. The command fails.
Recovery. Re-enter the command, specifying fewer than 28,672 characters in the
MAP NAMES parameter.
Invalid MAP NAMES file set, expected it to be restricted.
Invalid MAP NAMES, comma or right parenthesis missing.
Unexpected error returned by FileNameMap^Scan.
MAP NAMES string exceeds 28K bytes in length.
