ALTER AUDITTRAIL
RESET COMMITHOLDMODE
resets the COMMITHOLDMODE attribute to the originally assigned default, which
is unconfigured. This default produces the same TMF behavior as
COMMITHOLDMODE OFF. When specified for the master audit trail, RESET
COMMITHOLDMODE also resets the COMMITHOLDTIMER timeout value and
ON TIMEOUT action (described next) to their originally assigned defaults. When
specified for an auxiliary audit trail, RESET COMMITHOLDMODE retains the
present COMMITHOLDTIMER timeout and ON TIMEOUT action.
You cannot reset COMMITHOLDMODE for the master audit trail until you reset
COMMITHOLDMODE for all auxiliary audit trails.
If you specify RESET COMMITHOLDMODE, the INFO AUDITTRAIL, INFO TMF,
STATUS AUDITTRAIL, and STATUS TMF commands display no information for
the commit-hold attributes.
COMMITHOLDTIMER {timeout [ON TIMEOUT {SUSPEND | CRASH}] | -1}
specifies how long TMF stays in the commit-hold condition if the components
needed to ensure ZLT remain unavailable. This period is known as the timeout
duration.
You can only specify the COMMITHOLDTIMER setting for the master audit trail.
The timeout value and ON TIMEOUT action you specify will automatically apply
across the entire TMF system, affecting all audit trails.
To indicate a specific timeout duration, use the construct:
COMMITHOLDTIMER timeout [ON TIMEOUT {SUSPEND | CRASH}]
