A TMF audit-trail file that is formatted to contain up to 1048575 megabytes (1 terabyte minus 1 megabyte) of audit-trail data, if the disk drive is large enough. RESET FILESPERVOLUME resets the FILESPERVOLUME attribute to the originally assigned default, which is 5.

However, after TMF is configured and started for the first time, you can add or delete active-audit volumes or alter AUDITDUMP to OFF only while TMF is up and running.

The new TMP process, recreated automatically, uses the new configuration volume. If there are no configuration files located in the ZTMFCONF subvolume on that volume, the TMP creates new ones. You can restart TMF with a START TMF command. Caution.
