ADD AUDITTRAIL (Pages 3-14 through 3-19)
ADD AUDITTRAIL
(Pages 3-14 through 3-19)
The ADD AUDITTRAIL command adds an audit trail to the TMF configuration.
MASTER | MAT
AUX[ILIARY]nn
identifies the audit trail to be added to the TMF configuration. MASTER or MAT
specifies the master audit trail. AUXILIARYnn or AUXnn specifies an auxiliary
audit trail. nn is a two-digit number ranging from 01 through 15 that specifies one
of the 15 potential auxiliary audit trails in the configuration. (When the value of nn
is 09 or less, you must specify the leading zero.)
Audit trails must be added to the TMF configuration in sequence, starting with the
master audit trail, then the auxiliary audit trails AUX01, AUX02, and so forth.
The NonStop Remote Database Facility (RDF), which relies on TMF for many of its
functions, uses only the master audit trail for its audit records.
AUDITDUMP {ON | OFF}
determines whether audit dumping is performed for the audit trail. During audit
dumping, TMF automatically copies to tape or disk an audit-trail file that has
become full. ON specifies that audit dumping takes place, and OFF prevents audit
dumping. The default is ON.
