RESET AUDITTRAIL (Pages 3-219 through 3-221)
parameter of a new ADD AUDITTRAIL or SET AUDITTRAIL command, TMF
generates an EMS warning event message when you add the audit trail.
OVERFLOWTHRESHOLD
resets the OVERFLOWTHRESHOLD attribute to 80 (if an overflow volume is
configured), indicating that overflow copying begins when the audit trail capacity in
use exceeds 80%.
RESTOREVOL[S]
removes any RESTOREVOL[S] specification; thus, no restore-audit volumes onto
which audit dumps can be restored are identified. This attribute has no default but
is required if the AUDITDUMP attribute is ON. Thus, if AUDITDUMP is ON, you
must specify a restore-audit volume in the RESTOREVOL[S] parameter of a new
ADD AUDITTRAIL or SET AUDITTRAIL command.
BEGINTRANSDISABLE
resets the BEGINTRANSDISABLE attribute to 90, indicating that new transactions
are disabled when the audit trail capacity in use reaches 90%.
*
resets all audit trail attributes to their default values.
Security Restrictions
Anyone can issue the RESET AUDITTRAIL command.
TMF State Requirement
You can enter the RESET AUDITTRAIL command at any time, whether or not TMF
has been started.
Usage Guidelines
The values specified in RESET AUDITTRAIL are local to your current session only and
are not propagated to TMFSERVE. These values take effect when you issue
subsequent ADD AUDITTRAIL commands within your session and cease to apply
when your session ends.
You might want to use RESET AUDITTRAIL when you expect to issue several
subsequent ADD AUDITTRAIL commands, using the default values for certain
attributes in most instances and overriding the effects of previous SET AUDITTRAIL
commands (as discussed later in this section). In this way, the RESET AUDITTRAIL
values are carried forward to all the ADD AUDITTRAIL commands in your session, so
that you need to enter only specific non-default values as you wish.
