TN32COM Error Messages
This appendix describes each error message displayed by TN32COM, the operator
interface to the Guardian TN3270 Server.
Error Messages

Cause. The number of pages specified for a trace was outside the range of 10 through
62,255, inclusive.
Effect. TN32COM was not started.
Recovery. Reenter the start command, specifying a number from 10 through 62,255,
inclusive.

Cause. An illegal file name was specified.
Effect. If an attempt was being made to start a trace, the trace process was not started. If
an attempt was being made to switch EMS collectors, the switch was not made.
Recovery. Reenter the command, using a legal file name as defined by the file naming
conventions.

Cause. The IP address was either not in dotted-decimal notation or an octet address was
greater than 255.
Effect. STATUS SESSION data did not display.
Recovery. Reenter the command, specifying an IP address using the correct syntax.
PAGES must be >= 10 and <= 62255
