Custom Application Considerations
•
Set the Pathway terminal attribute DIAGNOSTIC to OFF for Guardian TN3270
Server terminals. Setting DIAGNOSTIC ON can prevent terminal threads from
being reused.
The following is an example of the PATHCOM command for Pathway version C31
or later:
•
If you are using a Pathway version prior to C31, when starting SCREEN COBOL
programs using the PATHCOM RUN PROGRAM command, you must specify
TYPE IBM-3270:n (where n is the terminal model).
The following is an example of the PATHCOM command for Pathway versions
prior to C31:

The terminal attribute PRINTER IS-ATTACHED is not supported and should not be
specified in a PATHCOM ADD TERM command.
Custom Application Considerations
The following application interface considerations apply to user-written applications:

The application must use Control 11 and 12 procedures for session management.
•
Windows are implicitly in the ITI mode when added. The application must issue a
SETMODE 8,1 procedure to place the window in CRT mode.
