About This Manual
This manual describes how to install and use the Tandem Performance Data Collector
(TPDC).
TPDC is a host-based performance collection and relationship product that significantly
reduces the expertise and time needed to collect performance data. TPDC integrates
and normalizes data from Measure and other sources, and creates a single
consolidated data file for subsequent reporting and analysis. You can use TPDC in
conjunction with Enform or other HP products such as GPA and Flow Map.
Audience
This manual is intended for system managers, analysts, programmers, and others who
monitor the performance of an HP NonStop Kernel system. You should have some
familiarity with the data collection entities used by HP products such as Measure.
Before using this manual, it would help to have a working knowledge of NonStop
Kernel systems and these HP products:
Measure
File Utility Program (FUP)
Peripheral Utility Program (PUP) (D-series only)
Subsystem Control Facility (SCF)
Data Definition Language (DDL)
Enform
